I was familiar with Highland Stealth rods and initially was just curious. I watched a couple of videos with Michael Bradley and Austin Shoemaker fishing the Stealth and what initially caught my attention was the protection of very fine tippet 8X in this case. Already having a few 10′ 2wts I was still open to trying something new. At the Lancaster Fly Fishing Show I got to spend time talking with Roger Wilson ,Michael Bradley and Austin Shoemaker about the rods. I ordered the 10′ 2wt with the Katana grip, the rod came with a super secure rod tube. My first day out with the rod I setup with 8X tippet. The rod performed great. The fish weren’t all that big but I never felt overmatched even in the swift currents. The recovery and accuracy were awesome I was getting into some very tight spots. This my first impression looking forward to get out more with it.
